Humans, also known as khwarsan, are one of the races which appear in Of Orcs and Men. They are part of an empire lead by Emperor Damocles.
Background
The Empire was formed by the unification of the various human kingdoms of the Iserian continent, united in one state and a single common religion.
When the empire decided on southern expansion, they came in conflict with the orcs. The orcs were victorious until the humans allied themselves with the elves and dwarves.
Trivia
The empire seems to be inspired by the Middle Ages and the Holy Roman Empire, its emblem is a stylized eagle.
